Anonymous FTP (No longer supported due to Security issues.)
Anonymous FTP allows visitors to FTP into your account and download files without a log-in or password. People who are uploading files through anonymous FTP into your account will be required to use a log-in and password.

Autoresponders (Infobots)
Autoresponders reply to incoming e-mail messages automatically. An autoresponder could be used to send "more information" to persons that send e-mail to a specific address, such as info@yourname.com. If you have ever sent an e-mail and received a reply within 5 minutes, you probably received a message automatically generated by an autoresponder.

Bulletin Boards (Forums)
On-line forums creation and maintenance: Enhance your Web site with community building forums generated with PlusScripts. Using PlusScripts, you can administer all forum functions via your web browser.

Catch All E-Mail
The network has been designed using the trademarked Power PlusMail System to automatically capture any name that may be sent to your domain name. As long as you do not remove or modify the default line in your .redirect file, anything sent to @yourname.com will automatically be forwarded to your POP+Telnet account (yourdomain@yourdomain.com). For domain names that have been purchased through us, then this also means that mail addressed to AnyName@yourdomain.com will be delivered to any e-mail address you specify (for example, your e-mail account provided by your ISP, or a free e-mail account such as by yahoo or hotmail).

CGI-Bin Access
CGI ("Common Gateway Inferface") refers to the computer programs running on a web server that can be invoked from a WWW page at the browser. You are given your own CGI-bin in which you can install your own scripts.

Chat Room
Chat rooms can be used for building customer help desks, multimedia conference rooms, sales counters, distance learning centers, and online communities. The Java Chat Rooms included with all our linux web hosting accounts (except the Coyote Cub) are each capable of supporting up to 20 users at one time. Cron is the ability to run programs based on the system clock. We allow up to one operation per day.

Custom "404:File Not Found" Error Page
This is the page that is displayed when someone tries to access a page on your domain that does not exist. This page is fully customizable.

Disk Space (Web Space)
Disk space is the amount of space you are allowed on the server. We provide a very generous amount of space and designate 5,000 files for each 100 megs of space allotted to your account.

E-mail Alias
The network has been designed using the trademarked Power PlusMail System to automatically capture any name that may be sent to your domain name. As long as you do not remove or modify the default line in your .redirect file, anything sent to @yourname.com will automatically be forwarded to your POP+Telnet account (yourdomain@yourdomain.com). To reduce the probability of receiving spam, however, you may wish to tailor this feature such that only pre-set addresses receive mail. You can do this easily via the Web Control Panel as well.

E-mail Redirects (Forwarding)
You can have your POP e-mail addresses automatically forwarded to other e-mail addresses (for example, have all e-mail sent to webmaster@YourDomainName.com forwarded to 1) your e-mail address with your Internet Service Provider and/or 2) a free web-based e-mail service such as provided by hotmail or yahoo).

Error Logs
Error logs will list the errors that occur with a cgi script. The log is located in the home directory of your domain. This is useful for script installation and development.

File Transfer Protocol (FTP)
FTP is how you upload and download your web pages, graphics, etc. from/to your computer to/from your virtual hosting site. You have unlimited FTP access 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to set up and maintain your web site.

Formmail and Cgiemail Forms
These are on-line forms that allow you to collect data from a visitor to your site. Once the visitor has submitted the form, the server will forward the data to an e-mail address specified by you.

Free-for-All Links Page
This script allows you to set up a page that visitors can add links to in specific categories. Newest links are added to the top of each category. A running total of the number of links present as well as the time when the last link was added is shown at the top of the page.

Graphical Page Counters
Counters record the number of hits to your site. A graphical counter displays this information graphically. We provide two types of graphical counters: one is a simple counter while the other includes various stats such as time and date of the visit and domains from which your visitor came.

Guestbooks (VisitorBook Pro)
VisitorBook Pro lets you set up as many individual guestbooks as you want. The Master Admin Program lets you (the administrator) easily add, modify, or delete VisitorBooks from your system. Administrator Options: Create New VisitorBooks, Set password for each VisitorBook, Edit VisitorBooks, Delete VisitorBooks.

Majordomo Listserver (add-on feature)
Majordomo is a full-featured mailing list program that allows your customer the ability to subscribe and unsubscribe. This type of list is particularly designed as a method of interaction, and can be run as closed or open, moderated or not. As the list owner, you can control all e-mail allowed to be distributed to the list. Each list can e-mail up to 1500 mails per day. If you would like to increase the limit, e-mail us for pricing.

Microsoft FrontPage 2002
FrontPage 2002 extensions can be installed on your account at no additional charge. This allows you to create and maintain your web site with the "easy-to-use" Microsoft FrontPage program. Microsoft provides direct support for all FrontPage users.

The Miva Mall is designed to be a one-stop solution for a complete e-commerce center (on-line mall). It allows the flexibility to start small. You can add more stores as you need them. Miva Merchant is a browser-based Storefront and Catalog development tool that integrates cataloging, product maintenance, category management, shopping basket, order and credit card processing. Miva Script (formerly Htmlscript)
The XML based Miva Script language lets web site developers access advanced commerce and database features in a familiar environment - HTML like tags.

PageSearch (on older accounts)
PageSearch is a good freeware search engine script that performs searches based on a prior index made of your entire site, thus allowing for search results to be returned quickly. PageSearch includes a convenient Admin Center from which you can administer all of the features of your PageSearch program right from your browser. More info on PageSearch is available here.

Park Additional Domains (add-on feature)
Parking additional domains is having several virtual domains point to the same IP address. There is a one-time setup fee for each parked domain. Many companies do this to protect their name. Keep in mind that the Domain Registration fees still apply.

Password-Protected Directories
When visitors try to access a password-protected page, they are prompted for a username and password. They cannot view this page unless they have a valid username and password.

We can setup an alias to our name servers in your domain name. You can either use our anonymous name servers (DNSBIN.NET) or your own name servers. Currently, the name servers, as listed on the bottom of a whois record, appear as follows:

PHP4
PHP4 is a third-party scripting engine. We do not provide technical support for this; however, we have added it for users that are already familiar with it. To use PHP4 on your domain, your files need to end with .php3 rather than .html. For additional information on PHP4, please visit their web site at http://www.php.net.

phpMyAdmin
phpMyAdmin is a web-based administration tool that allows you to administer your MySQL databases directly from your web browser. Features of phpMyAdmin include:
- Create, copy, drop and alter tables
- Delete, edit and add fields
- Execute any SQL-statement, even batch-queries
- Manage keys on fields
- Load text files into tables
- Create and read dumps of tables
- Export data to CSV values

Pine
Pine - a Program for Internet News & Email - is a tool for reading, sending, and managing electronic messages. Pine was developed by Computing & Communications at the University of Washington. Though originally designed for inexperienced email users, Pine has evolved to support many advanced features, and an ever-growing number of configuration and personal-preference options. You access pine by logging into your account via SSH (Secure Shell), then typing "pine" at the prompt. Very convenient, and highly recommended, for reading your messages over an encrypted link.

POP3 E-mail Accounts
POP stands for "Post Office Protocol" and is the method that e-mail programs, such as Eudora, Netscape Mail, Microsoft Exchange, etc., use to retrieve e-mail. Each POP account has its own unique log-in and password. Multiple POP accounts work well if you need e-mail addresses for several people within your organization.

Referrer Logs
This is an extended logging feature that will document where each visitor came from. You will know if they found you from a search engine, another web site, link, etc. This is invaluable information when planning your site's marketing.

Secure Shell Access (SSH)
Quoted directly from ssh.org, "SSH Secure Shell is the standard for remote logins and file transfer over the Internet. It encrypts all traffic, and provides a high level of protection against hacker attacks. Main features of Secure Shell include secure remote logins, terminal emulation, fully integrated secure file transfers, secure tunneling of X11 traffic, and secure access to e-mail over the Internet." SSL Secure Server Access
A secure server allows users to collect data such as credit card information in a secure environment. Our secure server is run by Apache-SSL. Information submitted via a secure form is sent to the server in an encrypted mode.

Secure Server Order Forms
Normally, any text sent from your browser to the web server is sent as plain text. This means that a hacker could potentially intercept the information. By using the secure server, you encrypt the information before it is sent. It would be practically impossible for anyone to decrypt it without knowing the key.

Server-Side Imagemaps
An imagemap is a graphical set of links - different parts of an image will link the visitor to other pages on your web site.

Server-Side Includes (SSI)
SSI, or Server-Side Includes, allows the server to parse special page commands. For example, if you want a footer on all your pages which may change from time to time, you can create a text file with the desired footer information and place it in your domain. On the pages where the footer is to appear, you add a "simple include" to read that file and place it at the bottom of the desired pages.

We have implemented server-side Spam filters for our clients using the Plusmail web control system. The anti-spam filters use several spamming blacklists for spam detection. We have chosen the organizations below as they have the most reliable and current lists available.

SiteBuilder (on qualifying accounts)
SiteBuilder is a comprehensive web-based HTML construction set, allowing you to build and maintain your web site via a web browser. Little to no HTML knowledge is necessary to build your site from the templates provided. SiteBuilder includes both an "EasyPage WebBuilder," which allows you to easily create a web site in just a few minutes, as well as a "PowerPage WebBuilder," which gives you more flexibility in desiging your site. SiteBuilder can be installed as 1) Single-User, 2) Mutli-User or 3) Mutli-User with domain redirection (subhosting). Both multi-user plans include 10 additional POPs and 5GB/month traffic, with each additional 100MB of traffic billed at US$ 4.
Single-User SiteBuilder

Flexible control over each account

Account login will be cookie and password managed.

Squirrel Mail (Webmail for Nuts)
SquirrelMail is a standards-based webmail package written in PHP4. It includes built-in pure PHP support for the IMAP and SMTP protocols, and all pages render in pure HTML 4.0 (with no Javascript) for maximum compatibility across browsers. SquirrelMail has all the functionality you would want from an email client, including strong MIME support, address books, and folder manipulation. Subhost Domains / Domain Redirection (add-on feature)
You can have multiple domain names pointing to different subdirectories of your main domain.
For example, suppose "www.client1.com" is the name of the domain you would like to subhost. Within your main account, you create a subdirectory for "client1," naming the directory anything you choose. For purposes of example, suppose the name of this directory is "services." Therefore, whenever someone types "www.client1.com" in their web browser, they will be taken to "www.client1.com/services/".

Subscribable Mail Lists
With a mail list, you can offer your clients a monthly newsletter, sales updates, or just a friendly hello. Your clients can easily subscribe to your list via e-mail. The PlusMail System is capable of multiple lists, so you can organize the information your customers may be looking for. There is a limit of 1,000 subscribers per list, and you can e-mail a message up to 75k.

Tcl
Tcl (Tool Command Language) is two things: a scripting language and an interpreter for the language which is designed to be easy to embed into other applications. As a language, it is much like UNIX shell languages. There is very little syntax, and it is easy to learn. It is used to glue together building blocks built in system programming languages like C, C++ and Java. These building blocks appear as commands, or verbs, in the script language. Telnet NOTE: This is replaced by Secure Shell Access (SSH) for all accounts.
Telnet is a very powerful tool for logging directly into a server to perform advanced (and some basic) features like compiling a program, archiving files, etc. Most likely, if you don't know what Telnet is, you don't need it. Most Telnet features (like CHMOD, which is used to change file permissions) can be done through FTP.
